Terminal Port de Maó
We propose a building with an attractive image, specially focused on stimulating the user that waits and moves within the perception of the geographical environment he is immersed in.
The resulting shape comes from two structures highly differenced that evolve into a building that integrates the gangways as part of it, rejecting to project them as isolated bodies apart from the Sea Station.
The first structure is a system of crossed supports that solve the main flowings and the facilities, offices, boarding and ticket office programs.
The second one is a pure box of 69x33x8 m. crossed and hoisted at six metres height by the three longitudinal and secant structures, which work as an interface between the box and the environment.
The resulting image is a structure defined by the flowings. In other words, the image of the building is the image of its circulations.

Tratamos de plantear un edificio de imagen atractiva y que se interese específicamente en estimular al usuario que espera y que circula en la percepción del medio geográfico en que se encuentra.
El resultado formal parte de dos estructuras sumamente diferenciadas que se transforman en un edificio que absorbe las pasarelas fijas como parte de él desistiendo a priori proyectarlas como entes aislados de la Estación Marítima.
La primera estructura es un sistema de pescantes cruzados. Resuelven las circulaciones principales y los programas de instalaciones, oficinas, facturación y venta de billetes.
La segunda es un cajón de 69x33x8 m., atravesado, e izado, 6 metros sobre el suelo, por las tres estructuras longitudinales secantes que funcionen de interface de ese cajón con el entorno.
La imagen final es una estructura definida por las circulaciones. O, también, la imagen del edificio es la imagen de las circulaciones.
